Alex's Racing Page:

Hi! My Name is Alex. These are pictures of me in the paddock at Portland International Raceway when I used to race motorcycles. I didn't win anything but I had a lot of fun. The bike (#23) is a 1983 Kawasaki GPz 550 street bike slightly modified for racing.

Click on any of these images to see a larger picture of me in the pits or on the track. The top four images are from Bryar Motorsports Park at Loudon, NH. The middle two images are from Watkins Glen in upstate New York. The bottom four images are from Portland International Raceway in West Delta Park, Portland, OR.

These are my #2 and #3 favourite pictures from the 1988 USGP held at Laguna Seca Raceway. My first favourite is the background tile described below. Bike #3 is Eddie Lawson on a Yamaha who won the 500cc race. Bike #34 is Kevin Schwantz who eventually became World Champion, though not in 1988.

A word about the background tile:

I took this picture at the first USGP in 1988 at Laguna Seca, Ca. at the very beginning of the 250 GP race, just as the pack hits turn 2 on the first lap. Jimmie Filice, #65, was the eventual winner.
